About Ketura
I help women like you, talented and smart women, achieve your goals, in work and in life. We use the tools of image to get you where you want to go.
Since 2009, I’ve taken the guesswork out of professional attire for women in the Washington, DC, area. Working one-on-one with women, I’ve helped them look the part for the goals they have, the job they want, and the life they want to lead. (Take a look at our service offerings here.)
In 2014, I launched the Joyful Closet as a new collection of services designed to make the process of building confidence more comprehensive and individualized.
If I can do it, you can too
I’ve been fascinated with advertising and fashion since I was a teenager, and in college and then graduate school I studied communications, semiotics, fashion, and film. I wrote my dissertation on 19th and 20th century forms of consumerism. I earned a PhD in English literature and film.
Through all these experiences, I developed a deep passion for empowering women to feel their most confident at work and in their personal lives. I know firsthand about the power of image to transform our lives. Despite my studies, it wasn’t until I was in my late 30s that I was able to translate my intellectual interests into an effective personal image.
And it was only when I was able to do make these changes that my personal and professional life became what I wanted it to be.
Bottom line: If I can do it, you can too. You just might like a little help along the way—someone to steer you clear of the pitfalls you face developing your professional presence, the missteps you might take as you develop your personal style.
If you’d like my help, I’d love to work with you! Our first step would be to schedule a brief strategy call so I can find out more about you and how I can help. Ready to get started? Just email me to schedule our phone session.
I can’t wait to hear from you!
