A client recently emailed me: “I have so much more trouble getting my dressed in a way that I like when it is warm weather. The layering you’ve taught me to do is a lot more difficult when it’s so hot!” Here are some suggestions for her. Add a dramatic piece of jewelry to your base layer. Throw on a third piece: a cute vest (denim “trucker” vests are huge this season) or an infinity scarf (also huge, but perhaps not what one wants to wear when it’s 100!). Add a cardigan — if it’s wafty enough, you won’t feel much difference in temperature. Make sure your bag is a net plus for your outfit, with a pop of color or texture.
