Michelle Obama and Sarah Palin: Monday morning round-up
We're still a little giddy here about last week's win, and we're getting ready to fend off all the friends we ever had wanting to stay in our basement.
I wanted to round up some of the stuff I've found online in the past day or two about the Divine Miss M. First, from the Preppy Princess, a look at the designer who'll be making the Inaugural Ball gown, Cassandra Bromfield, an Atlanta designer. (The dress I have included here — beyond gorgeous.)
Here's a great round-up of press about The Dress, courtesy of The Frisky.
And over at Mrs. O, a round-up of what people are saying about Michelle O's style.
Here's a look forward (and back) from the LA Times. And here's Robin Givhan in yesterday's WaPo explaining why the Election Night, in theory a thing of beauty, didn't work in Grant Park and on your television and computer screen.
On an sort of unrelated note, here's a montage of all the front pages from November 5 last week, a link is definitely worth clicking.
Finally, a big shout-out to Black Snob for putting all those trash-talking Republicans in their place. They picked Sarah Palin, and now they need to back off. Yes, BS says, we had our fun but now the GOP just looks tasteless and mean for continuing to dump on her.
Aw, does this mean I shouldn't be trying to confirm that great towel story?
Stay tuned for pictures later today about the Obamas' trip to the White House. And if anyone can tell us who designed Jill Biden's Election Night suit, inquiring minds want to know.
