Michelle on ’60 Minutes’
55 Secret Street is guessing it was a Maria Pinto dress Michelle Obama wore last night on "60 Minutes."
I didn't love how she looked — too made up, maybe? Or perhaps it was the exclamation-point eyebrows? Or maybe we're just nit-picking. But it was clear to me that the lighting was more harsh or else I was just not used to seeing her, well, up close.
Our president-elect needs to figure out how to sit for an interview, too. The buttoned jacket with his post just did not work — the tie point poked out and the whole thing just looked awkward.
I would have chosen something a little more approachable
for them both — maybe slacks, a white shirt, and a V-neck gray or
black sweater for him, and maybe even the same type of look for her —
slacks and a pretty sweater. Or black tights, boots, and a shorter
sweater dress — less formal, less corporate, more cozy and relaxed. I
also think we saw a lot of him in a suit and this transition time might
have been a good chance to show his more approachable side.
Michelle has been criticized for being a little overbearing with her husband, but I thought they were sweet together. We don't need or want them to present their relationship as the masterly man and the adoring woman, do we? That's not what we signed up for.
What do you think about Mrs. O's outfit and about this window into their relationship?
