Rolling Thunder, Memorial Day & Sarah Palin: Dressing the Part

Posted by Ketura

It’s another sunny, hot, holiday weekend — I love it! Here in Washington, DC, we have cool little addition to Memorial Day weekend: Rolling Thunder, a procession or demonstration of a quarter-million motorcyclists from the Pentagon into the city to raise awareness of Vietnam War-era MIAs and POWs. The city is filled with READ MORE »

Yes, you CAN …

Sarah Palin interview on Fox tonight

Posted by Ketura

Those of you who are going through Sarah Palin withdrawal (and yes, I do feel your pain) will be happy to know that she's being interviewed tonight on Fox at 10 p.m. ET by Greta Van Susteran. If the little preview video was any indication of how interesting the interview will be, though, I won't be holding my breath.

Sarah Palin in Alaska: RNC wants its clothes back

Posted by Ketura

From the LA Times: Reporting from Phoenix — Sarah Palin left the national stage Wednesday, but the controversy over her role on the ticket flared as aides to John McCain disclosed new details about her expensive wardrobe purchases and revealed that a Republican Party lawyer would be dispatched to Alaska to inventory and retrieve the clothes still in her possession. That should be interesting. I'd love ...READ MORE »

Sarah Palin and the ‘Wasilla Hillbillies’

Posted by Ketura

The story refuses to die. Newsweek puts out a special election edition, which is full of juicy details about both campaigns. I love this about Sarah Palin's spending habits: NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin's shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as ...READ MORE »

New Obama ad: Sarah Palin’s wink

Posted by Ketura

Get a load of this new Obama ad. It's a good ad. I'm starting to have a little problem with the firestorm of blame you just know is coming if (when) McCain-Palin loses. It'll be all about pointing the finger at Palin. And this ad seems to put the blame where it belongs — on McCain and Co. Is ...READ MORE »

Sarah Palin’s jacket: Is it her own?

Posted by Ketura

Whose jacket is this — Palin's own, or the RNC's? I'd love to know. Yesterday, weighed in on wardrobegate on her NPR show (which I adore), Tell Me More.

Sarah Palin goes casual: Looking great in jeans

Posted by Ketura

Sarah Palin apparently went casual at a campaign appearance over the weekend. Professional? No. Does she look great in jeans? Yes! Note the very long length — excellent. Same with the casually rolled-up sleeves. (But, as I've said before, with her coloring she shouldn't be wearing black.) Thanks to P.L. for sending the picture to me.

Sarah Palin accessories: She’s really a recessionista!

Posted by Ketura

I love Sarah Palin's new schtick: "I'm really frugal," she's been saying. Really, I do like it. It's politically smart and makes her look un-scripted. In this video, on Huff Post, she talks about the three accessories she's wearing. First, earrings given to her by her mother-in-law, a Native Alaskan. Score one for Palin's embracing diversity. ...READ MORE »

Now, Sarah Palin makeup disaster: Big bucks for bronzer

Posted by Ketura

As one blog says, you can't make this stuff up. Now the story that's breaking is that the top-paid McCain staffer in the first half of October is, yes, Sarah Palin's makeup artist. It seems Amy Strozzi, who garnered an Emmy nomination for "So You Think You Can Dance," was paid a truly unbelievable $22,800 for makeup services. You can ...READ MORE »
